Our first term topic was GOLD and all things gold rush related, including the early government which tied in well with the Grade 6's camp to Canberra, and of course our excursion to Sovereign Hill, in Ballarat Victoria. We transformed our class room into a mini gold rush town and used a role playing game to help us find out more about this very important time in Australian History. Term 2 2008:

This term our topic is Marine Life and we have been learning about The Great Barrier Reef, what makes a reef, and how we must protect the marine environment. We will be having an incursion coming up in week 6 and we hope to have photos on our webpage soon after. Work samples and other interesting marine facts that we find will be added throughout the term.
