Prep M

Prep M is made up of 11 boys and 9 girls. Mrs Mastores is our teacher.

For the Warrandyte Festival, we made special pumpkins. "I decorated mine using things from home. I used some plants and hay for his hair, and I used feathers for his eyelashes. He is an old man. His nose fell off after the Festival."	We decorated them at home. This one is a spider pumpkin.

Prep M are waiting for their turn to walk in the parade at the Festival. We dressed as fairies, spiders, garden gnomes, and all kinds of beautiful insects. It was a fantastic day.	We are fairies fluttering around the garden.
"At the Festival, I saw Mr McKenzie and the big scarecrow." Georgia	This is our really big scarecrow walking down the street. Mr McKenzie is underneath it.
We are learning about shapes and patterns. We make lots of shape patterns and pictures. We are learning how to use the computer. We made our own Shape slideshow. We are learning how to use the Draw tools.	This is Alex's shape slideshow This is Alicia's slideshow on shapes
We had a silly sock day, because we were learning all about the letter "Ss" and patterns. Some of us had patterned socks, and some of us had toe socks, and some of us had odd socks.
In Term 1, we learned about patterns and shapes.
	During Term 2 we learned about our bodies and how they changed. We visited the Life Education Centre. This is Harold by Jorja
"We went to the park and went on the playground. We learnt that you need to be careful in the park so that you don't hurt yourself. I liked the part when we helped to choose healthy foods from the wall". Roxy. "I learnt about the magic on the floor. We said abracadabra to the girl and her organs lit up." Ethan "I learnt about bodies. I learnt where the tummy goes. I liked when Harold bumped his head". Georgia "I learnt about bodies. I also learnt how to be healthy. I liked it when Harold bumped his head. I liked going on Possum's picnic too". Russell "We learnt about our bodies. We rubbed the floor to make the roof light up. I liked the movie about Harold". Owen	"I learnt that you have to be really healthy and drink a lot of water. You can't have sweet stuff everyday because you will get a fat tummy, it is only a 'sometimes food'. I also learnt about the inside of my body". Ethan "I learnt that you don't pick things like needles up off the ground. I liked it when we turned the lights off". Alex. "I learnt about bodies and I learnt about brains. I liked it when Harold bumped his head". Tynan "We learnt about healthy food. I learnt that you need to eat vegies because they are healthy. I liked it when the brain lit up on the lady". Chloe "We picked magic up from the floor and threw it at Tam so that organs could light up". Christopher "We learnt about fruit because fruit is healthy. I liked it when we got magic from the floor and threw it at the lady". Jayden "There was a wheel that had food on it because we were learning about healthy food". Darcee

	"We learnt lots of different games. We also learnt how to look side to side to see if there are any cars. I liked it when we rubbed the floor and made magic". Dylan. "We went on the floor and the lights turned on. Lucinda and Harold taught us about eating healthy food". Jorja
"We rubbed the floor and said abracadabra and then persons body lit up. That was my favourite part. We also went to a party". Alex "I learnt about patting Harold and I wanted to pat him. I put the heart on the body. We rubbed the floor and said abracadabra and the lady lit up". Layla "I learnt about the healthy challenge and I learnt about crossing roads. We rubbed the carpet and threw magic at Tam. When we rubbed the floor the lights went out and the stars came up". Sam	"I rubbed the floor and the lights went off. I learnt about eating healthy food". Alicia "We learnt about eating healthy food and eating properly. We went on a picnic with Harold". Brooke

Nicole came to show us her dog skeleton. They weren't real bones . She is a vet.

Miss Brooke showed us the leg bone from a cow. We had to draw what we thought was inside a bone. Most of us thought there were rocks, and stones. We know it is really marrow and blood. It looked and felt yucky.
