snake and can be found in bush land around a lot of south and eastern Australia.
We even found one in Tye's backyard! |

Location The red bellied black snake is found mostly in Victoria, South Australia and the eastern side of NSW.

Habits The red-bellied black snake is shy. The red-bellied black snake is most active at day. It will rarely bite even when its angry. It likes damp places.

Length. The Red Bellied Black Snake grows from 1.5 to 2 meters long. Diet. The red bellied black snake eats rats, frogs, birds, lizards and fish. |

Appearance It usually has pink scales on the lower sides of its body. The large scales on the red-bellied black snake's stomach help it move along the ground. |
