Curriculum, at Anderson’s Creek Primary, is planned and delivered through a number of agreed processes.  Policy documents for each Domain are planned as a whole school concept with all staff able to have an input into the final form.   The draft proposal is discussed at the Education Committee prior to final modification or adoption by the School Council.   Dated policies are lodged on the Intranet for online reference and are reviewed on a cyclical basis.

Staff, charged with the responsibility to develop a program to deliver the intention of the policy, always plan a term ahead when all members of the Level are released to work as a team.  From here the group meets weekly to plan the work to be covered in the coming week.  Each key group then divides the curriculum areas up with smaller teams of teachers planning each Domain area.  It is then contingent upon all teachers to follow the work outlines developed by other members after having., themselves, focused on a particular area.  For example, one or two teachers will plan the mathematics for their level and others in the team will work within the parameters set for them.  Equally, another two teachers will plan the English for all members of the same team.

Teamwork is also evident in classroom structure.  Wherever possible classes are conducted in an open planned environment with no teacher operating in an isolated room.
