Bolte Bridge

By Adam and Richard

Bolte Bridge is in the city, and it goes over the Yarra-River. It has a tunnel which goes underground.

It has two big poles and a yellow pole that sticks out and ten red poles that go diagonal. The two poles are more ten metres above the water.

There is a something like a tunnel it is called the sound tube, it is really cool. It has an exit to the freeway, before the two poles. The two poles are the start of the bridge. It takes about 10 minutes to get over it. It is a part of the city link.

You have a little communicator thing that pays two dollars. When it pays two dollars it beeps. If you don't have the little beeper you get fined if you go on the Bolte Bridge.

You get a good view of the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Yarra River. If you go over Bolte Bridge at sunset it is really nice. When you go at night time or early in the morning you get to see all the lights. It is beautiful!

The bridge was finished before the tunnel was. The bridge goes over carparks and the tunnel goes under the carparks. You see boats while you drive over the Bolte Bridge. Bolte Bridge was named after Henry Bolte, a former premier of Victoria.

It was clogged on the Sunday it was opened because sightseers clogged Bolte Bridge with cars.
