Botanical Gardens
By Emily and Breanna

The Botanical Gardens were established in 1846. The gardens cover 32 acres. The gardens provide a popular place for families to picnic, feed ducks, swans or sparrows while some people run on a fitness track around the outside. The gardens are between the Yarra River and the busy St Kilda Rd in Melbourne, Victoria.
The gardens have all different groupings of gardens, like rock gardens, water gardens, wildflower gardens, rose, sand and tulip gardens and tree gardens. Some also have ferns.
Fountains and lakes are also a central part of the garden. They look after the plant's survival in natural conditions.

Most countries have at least have one Botanical Garden.
