THE VICTORIAN ARTS CENTRE
By Constantine and Lewis.

The Victorian Arts Centre, comprising three main buildings, The National Gallery of Victoria, The State Theatre and The Melbourne Concert Hall and gives Victoria one of the finest arts complexes in the world. It also has a very tall spire which can be seen from many places around Melbourne. Something is happening in the Centre most hours of the day. The National Gallery of Victoria has now moved to Russell Street, Melbourne. A lot of dancers, musicians, opera singers and choirs use the Arts Centre. It is home of the Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, the Melbourne Theatre Company and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

The new Southbank Centre also lies with The Arts Centre along the bank of the Yarra River and is a popular spot with its shops and casual eating areas.
The Arts Centre lights up at night and the black spike at the top of the spire turns blue at night.
