The Blue Lake

The reason that The Blue Lake changes colour is not fully understood, but the most sensible idea is that calcium carbonate dissolved in the water precipitates (comes out as solid) during the summer and particles scatter the sun-light

The Blue Lake was last active approximately 4700 years ago.
The Blue Lake has a maximum depth of 77 meters. {226 feet} The Blue Lake is as wide as 176 acres.

The Blue Lake is also known as Blue Lake City to us and Warrwor to the Aborigines.
