ETTAMOGAH PUB

BY JAMES, KELLY AND DYLAN

The Ettamogah Pub was opened on Easter 1987. It now contains the Pub, the winery, Souvenir Shop, Cafe, Bistro and free entertainment on Sunday afternoons in the Barn. On weekends and school holidays, there are camel rides and `Dodgem cars for the kids. Ettamoogah is based on a famous Australian cartoon series, shown as an outback pub. The Dad-and-Dave Mythology is proving popular with the tourists, which have neither the time nor the inclination to go to "the country" (or even Balmain) to discover a true pub's atmosphere. The Ettamogah Bar and Family Restaurant provides something for everyone. There's a Kid's Room to keep the little one's happy while mum and dad enjoy a “Struth Lager”, snack or full meal, like lasagna, beef burger, fish and chips or a rump steak.

The picture above is a picture of the Ettamogah pub. It is a pub based on an old cartoon. The writing on the pub is about the Ettamogah lager and what it does to the body of the person who drinks it.

On Saturday nights the Ettamogah Bar revs up and has a night club so the adults can get down to some music classics and possibly a Meat Loaf ballad or two. Ettamogah Pub is a great tourist attraction. The Ettamogah pub has heaps of cartoon signs and the pub itself is in the shape of a cartoon. When the kids are tired and return to the table, they can choose a meal from the "Little Mob Menu".

The picture on the left is of the fake jail at the Ettamogah pub. The jail is accessible if you climb under the bars. Inside the jail in this picture are kids from A.C.P.S. on their way to Canberra.
This web page was made at A.C.P.S. The grade 6's of the year 2000 at A.C.P.S. went to Canberra. The camp was at National Capital Village which is a motel in Canberra. Ettamogah Pub is just out of Albury by the Murray River. On the camp the grade 6's stopped by at Ettamogah Pub.
