| Imax Theatre is in the city of Melbourne, next to the old Royal Exhibition Building. The IMAX Theatre has a screen which is the biggest screen in the world. It is three times the size of a normal movie screen. Because the IMAX screen is so big it is able to project a clearer picture. Each frame is ten times the size of a normal movie frame. They need to make the frames bigger so you can see the picture clearly because the screen is so big. Believe it or not the IMAX is eight storeys high although six storeys are underground. | |

When you go to the IMAX theatre they will give you 3D glasses so you can see the 3D animation. The IMAX theatre is especially designed to give everyone the best seat in the house, even the people in the front row, because everyone sees the same things unlike a normal movie theatre. |
