Legislative Council

The Legislative Council (Red Room) is in State Parliament House. Outside Parliament House, there are two guards at the front of the building, so people must be checked before they are allowed in and only the people with permission can enter. We were able to have a look inside.
There are two doors that open inside. These lead to the Legislative Council (Red Room) and the Legislative Assembly (Green Room).

The Legislative Council was built in 1856. The Legislative Council had a very short life in the Old Parliament, which ended on the 20th of March in 1856. The election for the two houses for the New State Parliament that followed.
