Questacon's History:

Questacon was once a travelling circus. It started in May 1985 and by the middle of 1987 had travelled many kilometers to 16 different places in 5 states: Sydney,Wagga Wagga, Wollongong, Dubbo, Armidale, Bathurst and Goulburn, all of these in N.S.W, Toowoomba, Rockhampton and Townsville in Queensland, Melbourne (twice) and Mildura in Victoria, Mount Gambier and Adelaide in South Australia and Hobart in Tasmania. In 1988 it became the National Science and Technology Centre.

Questacon's Exhibits:

At Questacon there are exhibits on different things. One is about spiders where you come face to face with real ones. Another is about force. There is a cage where a lightning bolt goes off with up to 3,000 volts. You can also experience an earthquake, which is chosen by random by the computer or just propel a hovercraft.
