This is Jock McNeish the day he came to visit

It has a river running through it. There are a lot of trees. It is like the bush. There is a bridge crossing the river.

When you walk along the Yarra river you can see some of the ducks that live there and you might even see a goat.

Can you tell the difference ?

We like this picture very much it has not changed for a long time. It is done by Clara Southern. Our class took a photo of it when we went for a walk to the Yarra river. The picture next to it is very similar perhaps the artist painted it from this spot.

Artists come to Warrandyte because there are heaps of nature. There are heaps of good places to draw. This is because there are heaps of trees and plants.

Warrandyte if famous because it was the first place to find gold and it has lots of nature. It has lots of trees to protect the people from the smoke of the cars.

We had to draw a picture of what we think happened after Jock showed us a 'drawing picture'.

Anyone can be an artists even when you are young. Jock told us that when he was little he liked to draw rather than write. He said he saw things in pictures rather than words.

Jock McNeish was the artist that visited us. He didn't like writing when he was little but he liked drawing. He taught us to see what you can see.
