We obtained many of our photos from an excellent web site on Alta vista which directs you to areas where you can save images either without copyright or where we emailed people to seek permission to use the photos.

We wrote to Bert Newton at Channel Ten to ask permission to use his photo on his site. He sent us a postcard to scan. The Liberal Party gave permission to scan and insert Jeff Kennett's photo.
We were able to get permission from local newspapers to use some of the photos. We accessed these permissions by writing and accessing contact details. Here are a few of the web sites where we did this.

Many photos were taken by individual children and groups when they visited important places where the famous person was working or living or where there were statues of the person.
Some photos were taken with permission from Museums visited. Some of these can be seen at Dame Nellie Melba's site.
All graphics, animations and pictures on the web pages were created by students.
All videos were created at school by children after visits and excursions.
