Full name John Winston Howard 
John Howard is the Australian Prime Minister. 

He was born in Sydney on the 26th July 1939. His father's name was Lyall. His brothers name's are Walter, Stanley and Bob. He went to Earlwood Primary in Sydney, where he got a Good Citizenship Award. At Canterbury Boy's High he was in the Air Training Corps and liked debating. John worked in his father's garage on weekend selling petrol. He loved playing cricket and was a Sunday school teacher for a while. At Sydney University John Howard studied Law and became a solicitor. He joined the Young Liberals in 1957. 
After leaving university he traveled in Europe and the Middle East for one year. He married Janette Parkes  on the 4/4/1971.  They have three children called  Melanie(25),   Tim (21) and  Richard (19). They also have a cat called Honeycomb. John Howard lives at Kirribilli House in Sydney with his family and The Lodge in Canberra when he needs to be in Parliament.    

John Howard was elected to Federal Parliament in 1974 when he was 34. As Prime Minister he has to do lots of traveling to make sure he visits all of Australia and all types of Australians. He  visits places that have disasters like floods, cyclones and people who want to know how he can help them like farmers and the homeless. John Howard is the Prime Minister now, but if the Liberals lose the next election we will get a different Prime Minister.
