Sir John Monash has a hospital and a university in Melbourne named after him. He was born in Melbourne in June 1865. His school was Scotch College.

 Sir John Monash was in the first world world war.

He forced the Germans to get out of France. He was one of the best commanders in the First World War.

He was knighted in 1918 and there is a statue of him in Melbourne.

 

Sir John Monash is on the new $100 note.
