WELCOME TO OUR WONDERFUL GREAT FLY OFF PAGE.

 

Welcome to our wonderful Great Fly Off Page

We constructed our plane from a piece of A4 cardboard. We wrote the procedure and drew the pictures for our individual planes on Power Point. After we made our paper plane, we had to trial our model, evaluate and then we had time to redesign our model. Our planes were thrown from a given point inside the Multi-purpose room and the time was recorded from when the model left the hand until it hit the floor. After we recorded the distance the plane traveled and the time it stayed in the air we each entered our information into a grid and compared our results. We all had fun designing our own planes, writing the instructions, and recording our results.

 

  Hello my name is Amy. The furthest my plane flew in the tests was 230 cm and the time in the air was 1.45 seconds.

 
 Hi my name is April .The furthest my plane flew was 380cm in 2 sec 61 s/s and my shortest test flight was 100cm. 

All the grade fours are doing the Great Fly Off.  I think that it is fun. I enjoyed the Great Fly Off  because every one had to test their planes, make their planes,  fly their planes and then taking notes about their plane. Everybody's planes were different and the best part was that every one enjoyed it. If you look at my photo I am holding my plane ( I hate photos that's why I  am not happy).  By Georgia
Hello my name is Belinda. The furthest my plane flew was 894cm and in 0.01 seconds.  Every body worked so hard at building their own planes.  

 

 

 Hello my name is Emma. My plane flew 172cm and the time it stayed in the air was 1sec59split. The furthest distance was 1000cm.  My planes name was Betty and I had great fun making it.   
Hi my name is Jake.  My plane went over 1000 cm. My plane is called Mr. Devil.  We tested our plane in the multi-purpose room .The Great Fly Off was great.    

 
Hi my name is Jasmine and I am nine years old. The furthest I flew in the Great Fly Off was 244cm and the time was 1.61 s\s. I think the Great fly Off is really great 

 

 

 Hello my name is Joanna. The furthest my plane flew was 183cm and the time in the air was 1 second and 40s/s. Everybody worked very hard on making their own plane.    

Hello my name is Julia.  I really enjoyed being involved in the Great Fly Off.  This is a picture of me holding my plane. 

 
Hi I'm Katelyn.  My Great Fly Off plane is called the Tail Feather.  My cardboard plane got a better distance than time in the air.   The best distance that I got was 282cm and the best time I got was 1sec 69 s/s.   All of the other planes flew different distances which made it a lot more interesting.  It was fun doing the Great Fly Off!!    

 

 

 Hello my name is Laura. The best distances I got was 381cm.My best time was 0sec and 73 s/s. I really enjoyed making the planes. I liked doing the Great Fly Off.

 
Hi my name is Lauren. My furthest distance my plane flew was 240cm and my longest time in the air was 1sec 19 s\s. I have never done the "Great Fly Off" before.   When Miss Clover told us about it, I was not very interested, but when we got started I really enjoyed it.

 

 

 Hello my name is Liam.  This is a picture of me ready to launch my plane.  I really enjoyed making different styles of planes in the Great Fly Off. 
Hi my name is Michael. I made a ring glider for my Great Fly Off plane. The distance my ring glider flew was 283cm in 2 seconds and 25 seconds split. I thought it could have flown further if I threw it harder. I enjoyed designing and flying my Great Fly Off plane and I hope I do better next time.

 

 

 Hi my name is Neil. The furthest my plane flew was 584cm and the longest it stayed in the air was 3.28 seconds. My plane was called the glider, it was cool.  

 

 
Hi my name is Paige. The furthest my plane went was 235cm and it flew for 1 sec 94.s/s. The name of my plane is The Paige Express. 

 

 

 Hello my name is Shaun.  I really enjoyed testing my planes during the Great Fly Off.  I learnt how to make graphs from our data on the computer. 
Hi my name is Stephanie.  This year is my first time I have done the Great Fly Off.  The best time I got with my plane was 280cm in 0 sec 56s/s. I have had a lot of fun doing the Great Fly Off.  

 

 

 

 

  My name is Thaine.  I loved making the planes, testing the planes and making the graphs in Excel.
My name is Tom and my plane is called Singing Rain and it isn't the best in the grade. My best flight went 709 cm and the worst was 615 cm. The best time in the air was 1 sec 87s/s and the worst was 1sec 01 s/s.  The Great Fly Off is heaps of fun.  

 
   

My name is Jacob and my Great Fly Off plane is called the Speeding Bullet, it is really good. My cardboard plane stayed in the air for 1.45 seconds and the best distance it went was 801 cm. My distance was pretty good but the time in the air wasn't that good. The Great Fly Off is lots of fun. My favourite part was making the planes. Every body's plane is different which is good because it makes it more exiting.
 Hi my name is Olivia and my planes name is Jumbo Jet. My furthest distance is 340 cm and my longest time is 1 sec 34 s/s. I liked working on the Great Fly Off it was heaps of fun.

 
 Rebecca Hi my name is Rebecca and I made plane called the Rebecca's jet.  My furthest distance was  220 cm and the time was is 0 sec84 s\s . I had fun doing the Great Fly Off..
